How to Play CS 1.6 in Browser

Step 1: Open PlayCSOnline

Visit playcsonline.com in any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari. No sign-up, no account, no download required. The game loads directly in your browser using our in-browser engine.

Step 2: Enter Your Player Name

At the top of the page, type a nickname in the player name field. This is the name other players will see in-game.

Step 3: Choose a Server

The server browser lists live CS 1.6 and Half-Life servers with real-time player counts and current maps. Pick any server — all are free, all support up to 32 players.

Step 4: Click Join

Click the Join button. The in-browser engine downloads game files (cached after first visit for instant future loads) and connects you via our network layer. Total first-load time: 15-30 seconds on broadband.

Step 5: Play

You're in. Use WASD to move, mouse to aim, left-click to fire. Press B for buy menu (during buy phase). Press Y to chat. Press M to vote on maps.

Mobile Play
